The Empty Glass, 410 Elizabeth St, Charleston, WV

I-vibes is an original reggae band made up of Jason Vallone on vocals, Josiah Hassel on drums, Jon Foster on acoustic guitar, Paul Trammell on lead guitar, Rob Nevins on bass and Jamie Mclean on saxophone and backup vocals.

Jason Vallone has been performing live since the late 1990’s and is the former front-man of Individually United, the Credentials, and, most recently, Scholars Word. He has opened shows for artists such as Anthony B, Morgan Heritage, Culture, Rocker T, Yellowman, Everton Blender and SOJA. His style is vibrant and active and influenced by yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Josiah is a self-taught drummer and has been playing drums for a total of eleven years. He has played in several projects including two years with Scholars Word touring through California and extensively throughout the east coast. He has opened up for various artists including Culture, Anthony B, Rocker T, Collie Buds, and SOJA to name a few. Inspirations include The Most High, his two beautiful children, his wife Sunshyne, and his supporting friends and family.

Jon plays the acoustic guitar and has been at it half his life - playing in various college bands in the Gainesville, Florida music scene. An avid wanderer, his travels have taken him through India, China, and Mongolia to name a few. With an eclectic style his influences range from blues to blue grass with some early Wailers thrown in.

Rob plays bass and has been playing and making beats since 1999. He is heavily influenced
by old roots, hip hop and musicians like Curtis Mayfeild. Rob has loved reggae his whole
life and plays to spread JAH’s message and good vibes.
Paul has been playing guitar since 1983 and is a veteran of the St. Augustine music scene. His former bands include The Credentials, Individually United, and Chillakaya. His influences are Peter Tosh and Jimi Hendrix and his style is a blend of fast and furious and melodic and trippy.

Jamie has been part of the Florida music scene since the early 1990s. An avid lover of rock, blues, funk, reggae and ska, he has found himself singing, playing guitar and blowing his horn with some of the region’s most talented and diverse artists. Formally trained and a natural performer, Jamie is all about harmony and has never met a crowd he didn’t like.
