Sheldon Vance is an acoustic explosion of punk fury. His latest album "Between the Devil and a Hard Place" showcases his guitar prowess and his passion for DIY punk ethos. Sheldon is currently booking shows and can open for a variety of acoustic and electric bands.
Sheldon began his music career in the three piece melodic hardcore band Out of Nowhere in 1999. They completed several lengthy East Coast and West Coast tours, opening for bands such as Hatebreed, Stretch Armstrong, Comeback Kid, and Reel Big Fish, before ending in 2005. Sheldon is also a member of the acoustic punk group Eighty Three Eighty.
Sheldon takes his inspiration from musicians such as Chuck Ragan, Frank Turner, Justin Sane, and Billy Bragg. His music broadcasts his love of his local punk scene and the state of West Virginia in general. "Music [has] been a source of joy, pain and therapy through my life. Though some times were tough...the good I have experienced far outweighs the bad, and I can honestly say that I probably would be dead if weren't for music and my love of everything it is."
