“Our music is our own sound. We call it Mountain Rock and it’s like nothing else that’s being played today,” Mark Miller says. Born in 1961, Mark started playing guitar when he was about 10 years old. He wrote his first song in the fifth grade, and started recording his original music professionally in high school. At one time he had two songs on local radio, which Mark will tell you “felt really good and lasted a second or two.”

Mark always knew that his life was about music; he knew the music would take control at some point. “I think it’s the reason I was put on this earth,” he says. “It feels as natural to me as the water I drink and the air I breathe.” Mark even sleeps with his acoustic guitar and a Tascam DR40 recorder by his bed, because sometimes a song comes to him in the middle of the night. For Mark, when life starts getting tougher, more songs come. Here is a guy who loves and embraces life with all of his heart, who believes in the American dream, and whose raw emotions bubble up in his songs.

When asked what he would say to his fans Mark replies, “I hope you can relate to my music. Maybe it will move you. If you listen, my many stories are there. It’s in the songs that help shape and make our band an American original. Ask me what will change the world. It will be you and me–one heart at a time. Thanks for listening.”
