umph_300 Umphrey’s McGee - Over 16 years, festival favorites Umphrey’s McGee has performed more than 100 concerts annually, released eight studio albums and sold more than 3.3 million tracks online. The group formed on the Notre Dame campus outside of South Bend, Indiana in 1997, taking its name from one of co-founder Brendan Bayliss’ cousins, and its musical cues from Frank Zappa’s sophisticated arrangements. Known for long improvisations, the band’s current release, “Similar Skin,” is its eighth studio album and, for the first time, features tunes that fall within a more traditional format. Entertainment Weekly called Umphrey’s “musical alchemists, deftly reconfiguring sounds from rock’s vast panoply of styles,” while Time.com praised the group for “expanding the notion of what a rock band can offer to their fans.”

Yarn - Led by Brooklyn singer/guitarist Blake Christiana Yarn’s brand of country - and tireless touring - has earned the band legions of fans and the respect of critics. In 2008, the group’s “Empty Pockets” CD featured guest spots by Edie Brickell, Whiskeytown's Caitlin Cary, and banjo vet Tony Trischka, and reached No. 5 on the AMA Chart. Yarn has played more than 170 dates a year since 2007 and, in the tradition of The Grateful Dead and Widespread Panic, the group’s fans - dubbed the “Yarmy” - go to great lengths to attend shows. The band was recently featured on CNN’s “Out Front,” CMT’s series “Concrete Country” and “CMT Pure,” Zuus Country’s “Americana Takeover,” and were featured as Rolling Stone’s “Download of the Day.” Yarn’s latest release, “Shine the Light On,” featured tracks co-written with John Oates of Hall and Oates fame.

Jim Oblon - As someone who earns his living playing drums for Paul Simon, Jim Oblon also happens to be one of the most amazing guitarists on the planet. And in a time when music schools regularly churn out assembly-line shredders of every variety, that’s quite a statement. But Oblon’s playing is nothing short of mind-bending: faster, deeper and more musical than anyone that comes to mind - past or present. Now living in Nashville, Oblon has gained national attention as guitarist, drummer, and vocalist in Paul Simon’s band as well as for his contributions on bass, drums and guitar to Simon’s latest album “So Beautiful or So What.” In 2011, Oblon released a Jim Morrison-esque recording of the traditional song “Where Did You Sleep Last Night,” which was featured in last season’s finale of HBO’s popular vampire drama True Blood. His solo debut, “Sunset,” features legendary session drummer Jim Keltner and renowned GRAMMY-winning organist/pianist Larry Goldings.

With his deeply expressive vocals, passionate and gritty guitar playing, and poignant songwriting, Cris creates an instantly engaging sound that ranges from intensely rockin’ to sublimely sweet to hauntingly psychedelic.
